Foundation of Faith

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of those who seek Him.   Hebrews 11:6

Faith is the foundation of Christianity, period. I mean it is the way everything is done in the Kingdom of God. Without it nothing can be transacted, heaven cannot be seen in the earth, salvation cannot be experienced, miracles are not possible, lives cannot be changed and on and on and on. The real truth is faith is required in every aspect of our Christian life. We rise and fall in the grip of our faith, what we believe is how we live.

In order to please God we must BELIEVE! Not believe He can, but believe He will! Many have shipwrecked their faith because they believed God can do for them, but they have a hard time believing that He will do for them. It is like He could, but i am not sure He will, so I am afraid to believe. This thought pattern comes from focusing on what God has not done rather than what He is doing. What we look at is what we become, therefore we must be careful to train ourselves in what we look at. How we perceive God determines how we receive from Him. The bottom line is without faith it is impossible to please Him because He moves on our faith and trust in Him and what He will do for us.

Faith is the basis of coming to God. To believe and know that He is, will always be a foundation of Christianity. Jesus never doubted in the fact that God is! When Moses asked God. “who will I say sent me?” God’s answer was “tell them I AM sent you!". What a reply to a complex question! The fact that God has made that statement, that all may know that He is “I AM”, sets the stage for the working of faith on a higher level. Believing that He will do for those who call on Him through the name of Jesus is the foundation of the Kingdom. We must move beyond the thought, hunch, or "maybe might" mentality into the absolute of faith.

He is a rewarder! I like that, God is a rewarder of those that seek Him. Do you really see that faith is rewarded? God rewards those that live in faith for what they need in life. He is a rewarder of those who  are advancing the Kingdom. He is a rewarder of those who believe that He never fails! It seems that we are always leaving God a way out in case He decides not to do what we ask of Him. However we must change our thinking to, when I ask He rewards the faith that I demonstrate in Him. Faith is really more than a belief system, it is a solid transaction in the Kingdom that demonstrates that "God is”. The demonstration is the reward of God’s hand moving in the earth. HE NEVER FAILS!

An apostle of faith, Smith Wigglesworth, did some strange things to demonstrate the faith he had in God and God met him at his faith level. One time in particular he prayed and told a man who had prosthetic feet to go buy a new pair of shoes. That night the man, bothered by what Smith had told him, prayed and the Lord told him to do as the man of God had spoken. The next morning he rose early and went to the shoe store and arrived before it opened. When the owner opened the door he went in and asked for a pair of size 9, black shoes. The owners reply was "we do not fit prosthetics", however the man insisted that he wanted to buy new shoes. The store owner, in much dismay, went to the back of the store got the shoes and brought them to the man. The man put a shoe on the stump of his leg and a foot grew into the shoe! He did the same with the other leg and a foot grew into that shoe! The man acting on his faith in the word of the Lord given to him, walked out of the store with new feet and new shoes! What a reward for the man and what a lesson for the store owner. Faith was demonstrated and rewarded that day. We must step out on faith in order to receive the reward.

If faith is to be expressed in our daily lives we must seek him. Seeking Him is the single most important thing that we can do in our lives. God is looking for those that will seek Him with their whole being with nothing held back, no other agenda but His. Seeking God with our whole being births faith that releases the power of His Kingdom to demonstrate the miraculous daily, not just every once in a while. Those who seek will always find, that is His promise to us!

Build your faith to the greatest degree that you can and see the reward of His power in your life, you will be glad you did.

Blessings,

Ron
